SOLID WASTE REMOVAL (click here for accepted recycle materials) Pickup of household garbage and recycling materials is Thursday. Containers shall be at curbside by 6 a.m. If the following holidays (New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas) fall during the week, pickup will be on Friday.

NOTE: Water and Sewer bIlls are due monthly and include trash service. Payment is payable at the Village Hall. Delinquent bills shall result in a 10 percent penalty. Failure to pay a water and sewer bill shall result in the shut-off of service. A $20 fee is assessed for shut-offs, and $20 fee is required for turning service back on.
YARD WASTE POLICY The Village of Marine permits open burning of ONLY LANDSCAPE WASTE. Open burning of landscape waste that is generated on resident’s property and may only take place on residential property and during daylight hours with a person over the eighteen (18) years of age in attendance during the entire period of burning. Intentionally placing landscape waste or other debris on public right of ways or in ditches, which would inhibit the flow of storm water, is unlawful. Burning of green vegetation or wet leaves is discouraged.
BURNING ON PUBLIC STREETS is unlawful. Residents shall not burn landscape waste (trees, tree trimmings, branches, stumps, brush, weeds, leaves, grass, shrubbery, and yard trimmings) upon public streets, sidewalks, or alleys in the Village.
